Broadway's Telly Leung is joined by music director Charlie Alterman to present a musical chronicle of how a Brooklyn-boy went from the son of Chinese immigrants to being one of Broadway's favorite leading men in shows like Aladdin, Allegiance, Godspell, and Rent. Audiences can expect an evening of personal backstage anecdotes and an eclectic program of music featuring hit songs from the world of Broadway, Pop, Rock, and Jazz!

THE NOBLE FAMILY is a romantic musical by Chinese-born composer Cecilia Lin(Four-time China Music Award winner) and lyricist David Zellnik (Yank!) under the direction of Tony winner Richard Maltby, music directed by Andrew Gerle, featuring an all-star Broadway cast and is set to open in both New York and Beijing in 2022! Enjoy songs from this brand new musical based on a bestselling Chinese novel and TV series. Let the magic of music bring you back to the fascinating age of China in 1926.

Join host Telly Leung (Aladdin, Glee) for Tossing Tinsel with Telly, as he and some very special friends spill the tea (and maybe a cocktail or two) about their favorite holiday and show biz memories, play a few games, and sing a few tunes. Guests will include Ann Harada (Avenue Q, Shmigadoon), Michael Maliakel (Aladdin), Jaygee Macapugay (School of Rock, Here Lies Love), and Kennedy Kanagawa (Gold Mountain). Alan Muraoka (Sesame Street, Aladdin) directs this entirely Asian American Pacific Islander company. Music direction by Amanda Morton on the piano (KPOP), with Arei Sekiguchi (Curvy Window) on the drums. Guest produced by Christine Toy Johnson(Come from Away).

Prepare to hear some of your favorite songs by Stephen Sondheim, Rodgers & Hammerstein, Kander & Ebb, Alan Menken, Cole Porter, and more, creatively fused with a jazz twist to create a whole new experience for theater and jazz fans alike. It’s “Ethel Merman meets Miles Davis” in this evening of musical exploration and personal backstage anecdotes.

Telly Leung recently starred in the title role of Disney's Aladdin on Broadway and alongside Lea Salonga and George Takei in Allegiance. Other Broadway credits include Flower Drum Song, Godspell, and In Transit. Telly toured internationally with original Rent stars Adam Pascal and Anthony Rapp in Rent: The Broadway Tour and reprised the role of Angel in Rent at the Hollywood Bowl, directed by Neil Patrick Harris. He originated the role of Boq in the Chicago company of Wicked.

Telly appeared television hit show in GLEE (as Wes of the Dalton Academy Warblers) and was also heavily featured in the PBS documentary Broadway or Bust. Telly has performed live all over the world, including Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center, the Hollywood Bowl, London's Hippodrome, NYC's Feinstein's / 54 Below, Birdland Jazz Club, and more. Performing familiar songs with arrangements that lean toward smooth jazz and a pop/Broadway infusion, Telly Leung presents his solo show while weaving in stories of his Carnegie Mellon days to a retelling of his immigrant parents’ trip to America. This actor, singer and teacher recently starred on Broadway as the title character in Disney’s Aladdin and is highly acclaimed for his portrayal of ‘Wes,’ the Dalton Academy Warbler in Fox’s hit series Glee. Other credits include Godspell, Allegiance, and Rent. Music direction by Gary Adler.
